How to invite visitors

To invite a visitor to BNI Oceana please follow these steps:

STEP 1: Ask the visitor to go to bnioceana.com and click the ‘VISIT NOW‘ button.
This will redirect them to eventbrite where they need to choose the date that they wish to attend, and then complete the details to make their booking. Ensure they choose you from the list as the person inviting them. The visitor will receive the Zoom link via email (and confirmation page).

STEP 2: Ensure that your visitor has registered via eventbrite by checking here: https://bnioceana.com/visitorlist/ – You will also receive an email notification when your visitor has registered via eventbrite.

STEP 3: Once your visitor has registered via eventbrite, In the BNI Connect App on your phone, Choose ‘Invite‘ and then ‘Register a Visitor‘.
Enter their First Name, Last Name, Company, Phone Number, Email Address. Enter the date that they are visiting, then choose their profession and specialityDo not enter the visitor into BNI connect before they register on eventbrite.

IF YOU DO NOT 'REGISTER A VISITOR' in BNI CONNECT YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE THE STAT.


You cannot register visitors in the past, so if you do not enter your visitor before the meeting, you will not get the visitor stat.

Things to not do:

DO NOT enter your email address when registering a visitor in BNI Connect. ONLY ever enter the visitors email address otherwise you will not receive the visitor stat.

DO NOT register your visitor in BNI connect before they have registered via eventbrite. The reason for this is that BNI will start sending them an email sequence once they are in BNI Connect. Also, it’s important that they pay for their lunch.

DO NOT use the ‘invite a visitor’ function inside the BNI Connect App (for now).
